La Minolta X-370s è stata uno degli ultimi corpi macchina SLR a basso costo costruiti per gli obiettivi Rokkor con messa a fuoco manuale di Minolta. Ha offerto l'esposizione automatica in una modalità preferita di apertura. Era anche possibile la selezione manuale della velocità dell'otturatore. Il corpo della fotocamera è stato realizzato in Cina, forse da Seagull, la società che una volta ha ottenuto alcuni asset da Minolta per la produzione di corpi macchina per reflex simili a Minolta.
La Minolta X-370 è una reflex con messa a fuoco manuale da 35 mm che utilizza l'innesto dell'obiettivo SR (spesso erroneamente indicato come attacco MD, che in realtà è una serie di obiettivi e sta per "Minimum Diaphragm") che è stato utilizzato su tutti Minolta manual focus body a partire dal 1958.
