La Minolta Dynax 500si era una fotocamera con messa a fuoco automatica leggera SLR per pellicole da 35 mm prodotta da Minolta. Era lo stesso corpo macchina della Minolta Maxxum XTsi per il mercato americano e della Minolta Alpha Sweet per il mercato giapponese. Le sue caratteristiche distintive erano le funzioni "cust", 9 programmi per diverse preferenze di esposizione, e la funzione eye start (l'autofocus inizia a funzionare quando il mirino viene spostato verso l'occhio).
