La Ricoh 500GX producido y vendido de 1976 a 1980 es una cámara RangeFinder compacta con una lente fija de 40 mm. Su característica especial es una función de exposición múltiple fácil de usar.
El objetivo es un Color Rikenon f/2.8 y la distancia focal es un versátil 40 mm. Las velocidades de obturación van de 1/8 s a unos cómodos 1/500 s que permiten el uso de la apertura más amplia. La exposición prolongada es posible utilizando la posición Bulb. La sincronización de flash es compatible a todas las velocidades. El visor muestra un claro parche de telémetro, con una aguja de medición.
