Die 2001 erschienene Contax T3 war die dritte der Contax T-Serie von High-End-Kompaktfilmkameras für den professionellen und Luxus-Verbrauchermarkt.
Die Contax T3 war bekannt für ihr multivergütetes Carl Zeiss T* Sonnar f/2.8 35-mm-Objektiv mit 6 Elementen in 4 Gruppen und benutzerfreundlichen Bedienelementen. Obwohl die Contax T3 eine vollständige Automatisierung bot, einschließlich Autofokus und Programm-AE, war sie eine der am einfachsten vom Benutzer steuerbaren Kameras ihrer Zeit, mit Aperture Priority AE-Auswahl auf einem Einstellrad am einziehbaren Objektivkörper und manuellem Fokus auf einem Daumenrad . Die Belichtungskorrektur von +/-2 EV in 1/2 EV-Schritten wird über ein Einstellrad oben links gesteuert und die EV-Korrektur wird in einem kleinen Fenster angezeigt. Verschlusszeit und Fokussperre werden im Sucher bestätigt.
