Die Canon EOS 300V wurde 2002 herausgebracht, um Canons EOS 300-Serie von Autofokus-Verbraucherkameras SLR aufzurüsten. Bei seiner Markteinführung hatte der Rebel Ti den schnellsten Autofokus und die fortschrittlichste automatische Belichtung seiner Klasse.
Zu den willkommeneren Verbesserungen gehörten die neue Objektivhalterung aus Edelstahl, die die weniger haltbare Kunststoffhalterung früherer EOS 300 Kameras ersetzt, die Möglichkeit, die Dioptrie des Suchers einzustellen, a Höherer integrierter Blitz mit besserer Funktion zur Reduzierung des Rote-Augen-Effekts und ein beleuchtetes LCD-Display.
