Beschreibung

Die Canon A1 ist eine einäugige Spiegelreflexkamera (SLR) 35-mm-Film für Fortgeschrittene Verwendung mit Wechselobjektiven. Sie wurde von April 1978 bis 1985 von Canon Camera K. K. (heute Canon Incorporated) in Japan hergestellt. Sie verfügt über einen Schlitzverschluss mit horizontalem Stoffvorhang und einem Verschlussbereich von 30 to 1/1000 Sekunde plus Glühbirne und Blitzsynchronisation Geschwindigkeit von 1/60 Sekunde. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Spiegelreflexkameras der damaligen Zeit war sie nur in einer Farbe erhältlich; ganz schwarz.

Die A 1 ist eine historisch bedeutsame Kamera. Sie war die erste Spiegelreflexkamera mit elektronisch gesteuerter, programmierter Belichtungsautomatik. Die A-1 akzeptiert jedes Objektiv mit der Canon FD Breech Lock-Halterung (eingeführt 1971) oder der Canon New FD Pseudo-Bajonetthalterung (manchmal auch als FDn-Halterung bezeichnet, eingeführt 1979). Es kann auch die meisten früheren FL-Objektive und einige noch ältere Objektive der R- (oder Canomatic-) Serie verwenden, wenn auch mit eingeschränkter Funktionalität. Dies schließt alle Autofokusobjektive mit EF-Bajonettverschluss von Canon (eingeführt 1987) aus.
