Das Canon AE-1-Programm ist eine 35-mm-Spiegelreflexkamera, die 1981 von Canon hergestellt wurde. Canon beschreibt sie als Nachfolger der enorm erfolgreichen Canon AE-1, die fünf Jahre zuvor auf den Markt kam. Tobwohl in einigen In gewisser Weise ist es auch zutreffend, es als Budgetversion des gehobeneren Canon A-1 zu bezeichnen. Viele Benutzer wollten eine Spiegelreflexkamera der Einstiegsklasse mit dem „Programm“-Modus (automatische Belichtung) der Canon A-1, während die frühere Canon AE-1 nur Verschlusspriorität AE (und gemessene manuelle Belichtung) hat. Aus diesem Grund fügte Canon bei der Entwicklung seines Nachfolgers der Spezifikation einen Programm-AE-Modus hinzu, und das AE-1-Programm wurde sogar noch beliebter als die Canon AE-1.
Das AE-1-Programm unterstützt austauschbare Fokussierscheiben. Im Gegensatz zum A-1, das vorschreibt, dass Bildschirme nur vom Werk oder von erfahrenen Servicetechnikern geändert werden sollten, können die Bildschirme des AE-1-Programms vom Benutzer geändert werden. Die Kamera war standardmäßig mit dem neuen Split-/Mikroprismenbildschirm ausgestattet, aber es waren sieben weitere verfügbar. Leider behält das AE-1-Programm den älteren Elektromagnet-gesteuerten Tuch-Vorhang Verschluss der A-Serie bei, der die obere Verschlusszeit begrenzt auf 1/1000 Sekunde, zusammen mit einer eher langsamen Blitz Synchronzeit von 1/60 Sekunde.

How is camera condition graded?
How is camera condition graded?
We choose our stock carefully so that they are all in good condition, but the cosmetic condition option for the camera is split into three different categories within this:
A "Near Mint +" camera will look almost new; it may have a few superficial signs of use or age (Top 1/3rd of stock).
A "Very Good" camera will also look nice but it will have more signs of wear such as worn down paint and small scratches on the metal (Middle 1/3rd of stock).
An "Average" camera will have more severe signs of wear/use such as deeper scratches, black specs and more obvious blemishes (Bottom 1/3rd of stock).
None of the cosmetic defects will have an impact on the mechanical working or functionality of the camera.
